Card (or tablet) weaving has been used since ancient times to create intricately patterned and strong belts and bands. All that's required is yarn, a set of weaving cards, a couple of C-clamps and a table to clamp them to. Really. No loom required, although you can use a rigid heddle or inkle loom to hold your card weaving project in place as you weave. In this class, you will learn how to easily create a warp for card weaving and weave various patterns.
Instructor: Nancy Alegria has been weaving since 2003 and has taught weaving to both elementary school children and adults. She has also been a regular contributor to Weavecast and wrote an article for the first issue of Weavezine.
