This is a workshop in our "Knitting Tips To Go" (KTTG) series. KTTG will be on the first Saturday of each month. Kira will teach techniques and tips for a variety of styles and learning levels. You can purchase each workshop individually or a “Knitter’s Pass”. A Knitter’s Pass entitles you to attend 4 sessions of your choice and includes a coupon for 15% off your next store purchase*.
KTTG #6: Survey of Knitted Lace: an exploration of different kinds of lace stitches and how to read lace patterns and charts - 4 spaces Left
Skill Level: advanced beginner -- you should be comfortable distinguishing knit stitches from purl stitches and working simple decreases.
Class Size: 5 (Minimum Enrollment 2)
Instructor: Kira Dulaney
Description: Lace can be used to create an open airy fabric, or add interesting details to knitted items. In this class we will try a variety of lace stitches moving from simple lace ribs to more complex patterns. We will also go over how to read lace patterns in both written and charted form.
Materials: 80 yards worsted-weight to bulky-weight yarn, knitting needles that will make a solid fabric with your yarn, stitch markers. (Not included in the cost of registration. All materals available for purchase in the store)
