Materials needed: 1 drop spindle, wool and instructional sheet

You will be given a brief overview about the History of spinning/What is spinning/What can be spun (overview of fibers). You will also learn finger spinning a short length of yarn, spinning with a drop spindle as tool to spin faster: learn park and draft method, transition to drop spindling w/ gravity as comfortable. Each student will be going home with a Greensleeves Drop Spindle, a couple ounces of wool and written instructions.  If you have a spindle there is a discount for bringing your own. Please use the second option below. Instruction will last for 1 hour with 30 minutes of lab time to experiment with different spindle weights and sample fibers.
